Seconded!
Happy Hogmanay everyone, and may you all have a great 2012.
More than one of our members had a tough time in 2011 and my special wishes go to them.
Having peered into my hives the other day as oxalic acid rained down on them, I'm even more optimistic than usual for the beekeeping year to come. And that's not just the wine speaking.

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!
I'm optimistic every winter but it all goes t1ts up by May. This season will be different though!
I applied my oxalic just before Christmas and since then have done some for others. I have done 49 all together and they all looked healthy and weighty except for one of mine that will need fondant before long. That was the only one that caused concern because they were slow to take feed in the autumn.

Wondering which of the cast would suit Jon I reckon it has to be Charles Bronson - half Irish, half Mexican, and broke. Here's Wikipedia:
First to answer the call is the hotheaded, inexperienced Chico (Horst Buchholz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horst_Buchholz)), but he is rejected. Harry Luck (Brad Dexter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Dexter)), an old friend of Chris, joins because he believes Chris is looking for treasure. Vin (Steve McQueen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_McQueen)) signs on after going broke from gambling. Other recruits include Bernardo O'Reilly (Charles Bronson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Bronson)), a gunfighter of Irish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ireland)-Mexican (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexico) heritage who is also broke, cowpuncher Britt (James Coburn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Coburn)), fast and deadly with his switchblade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switchblade), and Lee (Robert Vaughn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Vaughn)), who is on the run and needs someplace to lie low until things cool down. Chico trails the group as they ride south and is eventually allowed to join them.
In Jon's link I see that it is possible to give people festive greetings in Occitan. Have you mastered any of that language Chris?
Charles Bronson has a better head of hair than I have.
It's actually got a lot worse here since the old school gunslinger days.
The 2011 death toll in the drug wars is over 16,000.
That's the kind of statistic you would associate with Iraq or Afghanistan.
It's not too bad where I work in Puebla State but the sensible man keeps his head down.
Hasta la vista baby, as Arnie would say.

I woke up this morning to the theme music from the Good the bad and the ugly.
One of the gas bottle delivery lorries blasts it out to let you know they are in the area.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hYV-JSjpyU
But you have to picture the guy on the back of the lorry banging the cylinder up and down and shouting 'Gas ,Gas, el Gas!' over the top of the music.
PS Gav, can't use the icons to embed the video.
Maybe you have blocked some stuff by country IP
Jon: Nothing that I've done (or am aware I've done!). The IP address banning is to stop spammers repeating their attempts to hijack the site and will just stop those addresses posting anything at all. Should work, don't know why it doesn't - as you can see I can do it. Cracking tune to awake to anyway. G.
