Hi Jane
There is a group in Eastwood, but I don't know how active they are. Alternatively the Clyde Area Beekeepers Association which has its meetings in Partick Burgh Halls plus summer outings. People go to it from some of the smaller groups in and around Glasgow. Alternatively depending on where you are there is a small and active group based in Lenzie, the Kelvin Valley Beekeepers Association. This last group have a web site:
http://www.kvba.co.uk/
There is a very active group based around Stirling and Dunblane, but probably that is a bit far for you and more NE than SE.
The full list of local associations can be found here:
http://www.scottishbeekeepers.org.uk/contacts/html/local.html
Hope that helps - let us know if you need any more help getting in touch with the right people.
best wishes
Gavin

Hi Jane,
There is a seperate Glasgow beekeepers association that meets in Partic Burgh Halls & the meetings are generally the 2nd Wednesday of the month September to May. CABA ( Clyde Area Beekeepers Association) is a group of several local associations including Glasgow, Eastwood etc. If you become a member of Eastwood or Glasgow for example, you'll automatically be a member of CABA, and the trips are worth going on.
