Funny, I just came upon those yesterday as well on the recommendation of a guy interested in taking up beekeeping who has not started yet.
They do seem to be well made. Only watched a couple of them so far.

Obviously done with a love of beekeeping. Stuart set up a local beekeeping group a few years ago and has organized a conference or two as well.
Too many for me to sit through though!

I used one in my evening class and it went down very well indeed. I have asked Stuart for permission and he is happy so long as people sub to his channel which is fine. Useful teaching material for me and it's so much better for people to see the action and hear the sound of a live hive.

I got roped into teaching on our beginners course this year and I used loads of short clips I downloaded off you tube.
Definitely the way to go if used to reinforce a teaching point.
Playing a clip over several times and asking the class to watch out for something works well.
There are plenty of clips showing crap beekeeping on youtube and you can get the class to look out for mistakes.

I asked Stuart for permission and provided the people seeing the video subscribe to his channel he is ok with it. How that can be proven or otherwise is, of course, another matter.

Roped in? I volunteer for beginners courses as they are so much fun especially when it begins to dawn on them what an amazing hobby this is. :)

Roped in because I am already association secretary, supervise the queen rearing at the summer programme from May to August, manage the website for NIHBS as well as giving lectures to various associations. There is only so much you can take on on a voluntary basis. I agree it is enjoyable working with the beginners.

It's all ok over the winter but hard to fit everything in over the summer.
The beginner course starts in February and ends with practical sessions in May so that works out ok.
