Hello im new to this site and was hoping someone could help me and the bees. I have a swarm of bees under my facia board on roof on a wooden cabin in co clare ireland i would like to rehouse them before winter its know late august and am worried iv left it to late for the bees as i dont wanto harm them , my question is is it to late for a beekeeper to rehouse the bees in late august if so what months are best for this.

I dont know if the hive has a queen or not

I think that it is not too late to try. They will still build comb so they should be able to repair the damage.

I have housed September swarms before and they have survived winter. They certainly have a better chance than staying where they are! Swarms usually issue from a hive in April/May June, so the back-end of August is getting late.
