When I "inherit" unwanted 'For Sale' signs they're often glued together incredibly well - clearly the glue is waterproof and usually stronger than the Correx itself. I've now acquired a very large amount of Correx (or Correx lookylikey) and have a few building projects in mind but don't know what sort of glue to use. My high temperature glue gun was a total failure.

Any ideas?

Evo-stik - contact type would be my first try.

Frrom http://www.rcmf.co.uk/:-
"Firstly glues - Contact adhesive (evo stick- glue sniffers favourite) works best, but you must flash the surface to remove oils deposited during the manufacturing process before gluing. You can use a blow torch to do this. simply waft the flame over the surface/area you want to glue. Be carefull no to over do it, practice on some scrap first to get a feel for it. You should see a vapour produced as you pass the flame over the material. If the material starts to wrinkle, youve overcooked it - so to speak. Alternatively use a solvent to get rid of the oils. By far the quickest method is the flame, doesnt take long to get the technique right and takes seconds to do.

Thanks Castor … Mmmm Evo-Stik, yummy, I'll tune back in the Spring. :o
I suspect that wafting a blowtorch over my creations will not go well ...
