Heavy infection.
From today.
This colony is dark and docile and I planned to breed some from it but not anymore.
Strongish going into the winter but not many bees now, just enough to cover the 2 frames of brood.
No soiling inside or outside hive.
Gave them a spray with Pete's thymol mix.

Apis or ceranae?

Looks like a piece of trachea on the slide.

I think you are right Caz.
It does have that more rounded apis look.

Look to me to have straight sides and rounded ends. What about size comparison? Did link help?

I think size is very similar. Difficult to tell a size difference even at x400.
