Bee Lures

Hi has anyone ever used Lemon Grass Oil as a bee lure.

Not I, but it sounds like it is worth a go if you have bees in your area. Methods seem to vary from a few drops on the tops of frames to sealing in plastic to mixes of wax, oil and lemongrass oil. I may try it myself.

I have tried the plastic tube lures from Thorne's and scout bees were certainly attracted, possibly from one of my own hives a mile away! The visits ceased when I did an artificial swarm.
