bees and pine trees

Hi all, Just wondering if hives placed beside pine trees will affect the taste of the honey,,cheers,,kenny

Well it's never affected the taste of my honey, and my bees are surrounded by sitka spruce! We once had a colony that seemed to be specialising in blackcurrant bushes one year; opening the hive was like walking into a Ribena factory! None of the other colonies smelt of blackcurrant, though they were equally close to the bushes.
