Every year in November, in Perth, the SBA holds its annual meeting to help Local Association secretaries get together to exchange ideas. Each one can bring two guests from their association. In 2012 there was a particularly successful meeting (http://www.sbai.org.uk/sbai_forum/showthread.php?1136-Saturday-17th-November) which saw the first trial of Skype to bring in those from far-flung places. On the programme were:
Running a Local Association
Communication between LAs
Meeting the demand for honey bees
Encouraging SBA membership
Acarine study and the SPARK Award
One of the suggestions made was to have a special forum area for LA secretaries to share their experiences. So here we are!
The secretary of the Moray Beekeepers Association gave a talk on their wonderful initiatives. Tony will be along later to tell you more.
