Michael McCarthy at his best!
Hands up who sent him the press release.
He actually cites the totally discredited Harvard Study (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7FCgF0BwlDGZXZVWFFqUUtRTGl5Uzdyb21VRV9Bdw/edit).

And he talks about neonicotinoids being linked to 'sharp declines' in bee numbers.
That will be the 3-4 fold increase in the UK honeybee population in the past couple of years 'sharp decline' then.

And in April, a team from Harvard claimed that imidacloprid was the culprit in colony collapse disorder.

Lest we forget, it was pointed out that Imidacloprid is actually used on only half of one percent of the crop he was blaming for CCD (maize)
The author was unaware of this when he made his spurious claims.

Pesticides are not good for bees, that much is pretty obvious, but this mania to get neonicotinoids banned will leave us with an array of far more harmful products.

Clearly pesticides lead to a reduction in human critical faculties and intelligent thought. As proven by many discussions and articles here and on other forums...
