I've a mixture of galvinised and plastic mesh floors, the cocktail of chemicals I'm using for varroa has th galvinised mesh rusting, couple years and it'll be gone

I use thymol and oxalic acid dribble. The first doesn't corrode whereas the second just hits the bees and not the equipment, so I'm not seeing problems.
I've not seen a problem - a WBC has a mesh floor made from the mesh of a fire-guard and that's still Ok I believe and that's black-painted mild steel. (Maybe I'd better check).
Acetic Acid has some negative effects - has that come into contact with the galvanized mesh at any time?

No, a cocktail of oxalic vapour, formic acid and thymol concentrated possibly, it's removed the zinc from about 40%
